Springville, Utah July 25, 2022

Roy Calderon brings 25 years of medical device industry experience in a variety of operational leadership positions.

ATL Technology (“ATL”) has announced that Roy Calderon, CSCM will be joining ATL as General Manager of its rapidly growing facility in Costa Rica on August 8th, 2022.

ATL, a development and full-service manufacturing partner to medical device OEMs, has experienced tremendous growth in Costa Rica in part due to the current geopolitical challenges driving demand for nearshoring and reshoring to mitigate risk for critical medical device projects. After opening in 2012, ATL expanded in 2021 to include a second, larger facility in the same Industrial Park and is already considering additional expansion due to continued project success with key customers.

“I am confident that Roy’s extensive supply chain experience will enhance our Global Operations Leadership team’s expertise. With his proven results optimizing processes across Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Manufacturing, ATL is looking forward to seeing the facility in Costa Rica continue to flourish under his leadership,” says David Smith, COO.

A Chemical Engineer with an MBA and Operations Management emphasis, Roy is a Certified Supply Chain Management Professional and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He brings over 25 years of experience in executive and leadership positions at multinational companies. “I have a passion for developing high-performing teams as well as optimizing and deploying robust operational processes. The growth that ATL has experienced with their customers is exciting to see and I look forward to joining the ATL team,” Roy Calderon, General Manager.
