ATL Technology Announces New Vice President of Engineering and Global Director of Engineering
ATL Technology (“ATL”), a joint development manufacturing partner to top medical device firms, announced two promotions within its Global Engineering Organization.
Braden Ta’ala, based in the Springville, UT headquarters, has been promoted to Vice President of Engineering, and Roger Solano, based in San Jose, Costa Rica, will take on the responsibilities of Braden’s former role as Global Director of Engineering.
“ATL was started when our Founder and CEO, Brad Brown, had the idea of a company that would connect ATL engineers directly to customer engineers creating a true partnership for the development and manufacturing of custom solutions. This approach has been very well received, opening the doors for us at our medical device OEM partners to take on complex projects. Braden’s and Roger’s demonstrated leadership in Engineering has proven integral to the success of projects and, ultimately, the overall growth of ATL. I look forward to their continued success as the organization expands and takes on more complete medical device assembly opportunities,” stated David Smith, COO.
Braden started his career as a mechanical engineer in the composite aerospace industry. After a few years of proprietary manufacturing, tooling, and fuselage design, Braden joined the ATL Technology team in 2009. It was at this time that his passion for MedTech and Med Manufacturing solutions was born. After four years of connector, cable, and med device engineering, Braden had the opportunity to focus on developing his management and organizational abilities at a mid-size consumer company. It was there that he organized an engineering and quality department with new and improved processes. Two years later, Braden returned to ATL as the Engineering Manager over product development and recently held the title of Global Director of Engineering before being promoted into this new role as VP.
Roger Solano joined the ATL Technology team in November of 2017 as a Sustaining Engineer in the Costa Rica facility where he managed manufacturing transfer projects between the company’s facilities in Costa Rica, China, and the USA. He has previously celebrated other promotions within the company including Product Development Engineer and most recently, Technical Engineering Manager. Roger has been supporting the growth of the organization at key customers by leading a team of engineers to launch new product lines, support existing products that are in mass production, as well as recruiting, hiring, and coaching engineers to help them reach their development goals. In his new role as Global Director of Engineering, he will take on new responsibilities across ATL’s sites around the world.
